Holiday Outfit Inspiration For All Occasions

November 28, 2017 0 Comments

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and long holiday weekend last week! I spent it with my family in the burbs enjoying WAY too much food, enjoying leftovers for days, shopping the Black Friday/cyber weekend deals and so much more. As always, my mom was the hostess with the mostest!

Right after Thanksgiving, my family worked on “decking the halls” and the house is all ready for the holidays! My mom actually put up the tree beforehand this year, which was fine by me because it meant extra time with the soft, romantic twinkle lights. It was nice to spend some time surrounded by all the decor and get inspired!

With the holiday season is quickly approaching, it’s time to start planning! Besides figuring out the perfect gifts for everyone on my list, the next thing I’m always trying to determine is what I’m going to wear to all my holiday gatherings. Anyone else? So I’m sharing a few simple, classic holiday outfits that anyone can copy and find in their closets. These three holiday outfits can be utilized for your office holiday party, the family get-togethers or even a more comfy, casual outfit for grabbing drinks and exchanging white elephant gifts with friends.

Holiday Outfit

The biggest statement item from this outfit is the lace midi skirt, it’s feminine and romantic and perfect for the holidays and beyond. It’s made many appearances at work and out on the town for date nights. It can easily be dressed up or down! I’ve paired it with a striped long sleeve shirt and flats to dress it down, but for the holiday look I paired it with a black v-neck ribbed sweater, which adds another texture. A little juxtaposition with textures or patterns can quickly transform a basic outfit into a trendy, fun piece. For accessories, a chunky necklace and pointed, metallic silver heels add some shimmer and sparkle.

Holiday Outfit

As you might imagine, I love any chance to wear a little red dress and the holidays are a perfect excuse to! For the holidays, I chose a flattering a-line cut, sleeveless dress that allows for endless layering options to match your individual style and occasion. Throw on a flattering blazer for an office holiday outfit, wear a thin turtleneck underneath for a casual gathering, or add a blanket scarf paired with tights and ankle heeled booties. A little red dress makes a big statement, so accessories can be minimal like a simple champagne clutch.

Holiday Sparkle Outfit

Whether it’s a sparkly sweater, top, tank, cardigan … it’s a must-wear for the holidays! Pair with black jeans to make the silver pop. I love this look because it’s such a comfy outfit that still looks polished! I hate choosing between comfort and style, so I’m often creating options that don’t make me sacrifice either. Swipe on a classic red lip with this holiday outfit and you’re good to go!

‘TIS THE SEASON for holiday fashion!
